Andy Crawford has been a tremendous asset to the Music Festival for many years. From the Festival’s infancy Andy has helped organize the event and is the “go-to guy” for problem solving the myriad of problems that are inevitable during the preparation and actual operation of such an event. Professionally Andy plays bass, and occasionally joins in with groups at the Music Festival while also performing the other duties vital to the smooth operation of the Festival.
Andy Crawford is an Instructor of Music at Knox College where he directs jazz combos, runs the jazz bass and guitar studios, and is the managing director of the Knox Jazz Year and coordinator of instrumental music. Andy is a first call double bassist and guitarist in Central Illinois and Eastern Iowa, playing with many groups in a variety of styles. Crawford was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala from 2004-2006.
