Werther Ellerbrock is a versatile guitarist with extensive performing and recording experience. He graduated magna cum laude from Berklee College of Music in 2000, and executes a variety of styles including Jazz, Rock, Pop, Funk, Blues and Country.
Werther has performed with such notable artists as John Beasley, Neal Black , Bruce Ewan, Brian Lynch, John Medeski, Adam Rogers and Antonio Sanchez. He has opened for/co-billed with Poppa Chubby, Groove Collective, “Juan Perro” (Santiago Auseron from Radio Futura), Bobby Radcliff, Liquid Soul and Johnny Winter. In 2006 he assisted Marc Ribot during a clinic on ‘Improvisation’. Selected performances include the Guadalajara International Jazz Festival, Feria Internacional de la Musica (FIM), Aguascalientes International Blues Festival, San Pancho Music Festival, Boston Battle of the Blues Bands, New England Music Organization Showcase, Berklee International Folk Festival, Latin American Music Conference NYC and the Montreux Jazz Off-Festival. In 2008 he released AMERICANA, a solo fingerstyle guitar album. In 2012 he recorded for ‘Orlok’, a musical by Jose Fors (Cuca, Forseps).
Werther performs on a regular basis at guitar shows and festivals world wide, and will return to the 2020 Music Festival after performing in the 2011, 2012, and 2013 events to a very enthusiastic crowd.
